Shanthi & Daniel | Wedding | Mumbai
May 06, 2015 /by Prasad jindam
The Indian Pentecostal wedding of Shanthi and Daniel was held at The Holy Hebron Church in Mumbai. It was a first one for me since I had never attended one before. The believers and relatives arrived early at the Church. The bride and groom were dressed in the customary whites for the wedding service. A Pentecostal wedding is based on the bible. The scriptures from the bible are read out during the wedding service, usually by the church minister, who reads a short passage and expounds on it. The couple also choose a bible passage that applies to them.
Music is also an important aspect of such a wedding ceremony. The type of music though is limited to gospel music. The ambiance in the church was very devotional and energetic as the guests sang the wedding hymns with great enthusiasm along with the church ministers. This beautiful wedding was followed by a Reception ceremony. I wish Shanthi and Daniel, all the love. Hallelujah!
Here is the highlight of their wedding day.
